I'm an out of towner and have met some of you during a previous dyno trip when Doug from topspeed was in town. We booked dyno time at LSE performance.

I want to get an Accessport protune done for a 2002 WRX stock turbo with various bolt ons.
I believe LSE went under, but who else is capable of doing (trustworthy and capable) a protune for a 2.0 wrx stock turbo.
Please post good and bad experiences.

On a sidenote this is a gift for a friend. I know a protune to be very beneficial on an sti. Is it worthwhile on a stock turbo 2.0 wrx?
    thanks as always MN

Most people on this board will say wait for Jorge to come into town. But if you are looking for a local MN AccessPort Pro-Tune I believe DB Performance in Rogers is your best bet. I am not sure if RS Motors does AP Pro Tunes, but if they do Ron is probably a better option.

I believe DB does AP tuning.

or find a local tuner who'll do OpenECU with those boltons for a much cheaper price.

There's plenty of room for improvement on the stock turbo. Even with a few bolt-ons, you can find substantial gains with a pro-tune. If you don't want to get the accessport, I know Ron at RS motors (Burnsville) does opensource (romraider) tunes.

With the stock turbo and if you have a price quota, this is what I would recommend.

Thanks for the replies so far guys. Any schedule as to win Jorge is in town?

sell the cobb, go to RS, have Bullwinkle or Nuke tune it and call it good. then you can take the new funds and buy more parts
