Hey guys I am new to this forum. For some weird reason, I didn't think there was a suby club in MN! Any hoo, I was gonna get a Cobb AP and saw on the cobb site that there is a tuner in Rogers. I can't think of what the shop is called, but has anyone here tried them? Hows their rep with Subarus? Advice on anywhere else to get a pro-tune?
there are a couple of dyno days coming up where we have protuners coming in to dyno tune. check out the events section for details
DB Performance in Rogers has the Cobb ProTune software to give you a custom map for your AccessPort, iirc.
the shop in rogers w/ the dyno is DB performance. they are cool guys, i was up there for the dyno day. otherwise you might want to talk to russ (WRX1) i believe he does AP tuning. (i heard his maps break trannys too)
^^What year and model is your Suby. I can help get you an AP (brand new). I still have a few left (not reserved) coming on Monday the 10th. Depending on model...PM me for price and your suby model.
Yup, Russ (WRX1) has a pro tuner. That's who I would go with hands down. The only downside is that its a roadtune, but it's where all the daily drivability problems are found too.
So...Will going to Russ get me the same results on a tune as the topspeed guy and George would. I am merely looking to fine tune my stage 2 car, I think its running a little rich and i know there is more power to be found.
Well, I don't want to be in the middle fo who can tune better. I know that I can lean out the fuel to get a nice afr curve, and I get the timing dialed in. I can get you a safe reliable map that doesn't knock. if you are looking for the big hp numbers, I don't think I am the guy. I am also local, so I am a little easier to get ahold of. Russ
I hear a lot of good things about Russ + he is a very helpful guy. But at Topspeed with Doug you are going to get Dyno-Tuned and Road Tuned.
