Too bad for now it is the same as the v1.0. Sometime after the 1st of the year when cobb releases the protuner 2.0 software is when the cool things will happen. Russ
fortunatly, this isn't true... some of the maps have been updated with different perameters. if you mean by functionality, yes.. it will physically opperate in the same manner. map the maps have indeed been slightly altered to some extent. ((NOT ALL MAPS HAVE BEEN CHANGED, mainly 05 and 06 sti maps are different by slight alterations))
Well, the state of tune is a little better, but the stuff that will make the ap2.0 cool is not yet avaible. All the protuners are using the same software to tune the 2.0, so right now you are not getting any of the bennies that the 2.0 *WILL* bring. Once the protuner software gets upgraded to 2.0, then you will have the ability to just some of the cool options. Russ
correct... more or less the playstation 3 effect. "we want our playstation NOW damnit... we know it's not perfect... but we want it anyway" they perfected the functionality of the unit, but the software / firmware will be updated more then likely first quarter of 2007.
To tune the 2.0 it'll be just as good off the old software right? The new stuff is just for all the gadgets correct?
no, there are slight upgrades in the 04 / 05 / 06 sti maps... and yes a crapload of gadgetts... more coming soon.
Currently, the protuners have a version 1.5 software, and all that is, is version 1.0 software with a coversion string. So it will be tuned with 1.0 software and then converted to 2.0 after the tune is done. Russ
