Huh...stumbled on this little guy while i was at lunch

"How much quicker would it be to repair a motor with a little AI-controlled assistance? Rather than fumbling with manuals or removing the wrong part, augmented-reality (AR) goggles could show exactly what part to remove, and how to do it. While that may sound a little like science-fiction, it's now become science fact thanks to research performed by the Columbia University."

The same has been said about every major technological advance like computers, etc...

That is a very cool concept, and teh fact that it works (and well supposedly) is even cooler. I can just imagine it telling you to remove the lower radiator hose while you are underneath it, getting a facefull of coolant on your fancy watch and goggles.

    LOL!!!

Actually, its not that funny. A friend of mine burned 15% of his body when a lower hose burst on him when it was hot.

^or in a rally service stop. ouch

so, when it tells you to remove a bolt, and it snaps off.....does the software have instructions to drill/tap?

pretty cool, but I can just see people with no experience tackling things way over their head, and causing more damage than they can fix.
