    Project: Aria the White Wolf

Note: I will be out of town Monday September 25th-Friday the 29th. Emptied PM box.

Car: 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STI
Color: Aspen White(The MOST beautiful GR color)
Miles: 41,673 (420 on motor, 440 on brakes and clutch)
Price: $33,897.31 OBRO (No rush here)
I have no problem facilitating shipping, have experience with doing so.

    Partial Trades Accepted(will consider others):
-Triumph Street Triple (Triple R Preferred)
    -Other Naked street bikes
-Snow beater/destroyer (Audi B5 A4, Older Impreza/forester/legacy, must be manual)
    -Volk TE37 wheels 5x114.3 18x9.5 +22 - 18x10

I'm going to miss this one, but I think the time has finally come to end this project to help free up funds for a house. Its been another great experience, and as anyone knows these endeavors don't end until sold. I still have a running list of things I will be doing if it doesn't sell. If you are interested please send a PM or post your question in the thread, more than happy to provide detailed information.

This car is a monster, it's scary every time I drive it no matter how much I think I've acclimated. The engine and transmission mounts are nearly solid, and transmit every noise you didn't know Subaru's make right into the cabin. The suspension is actually relatively comfortable considering how much more planted it is over the stock setup. That being said it does give you very accurate feedback of the road surface. Despite the power currently being fuel system limited, 500whp+ with great response(E85) is terrifying for a street car. It will break traction in second gear pretty easily. For this reason there will be no joyrides or driving the car unless you have some form of cash in hand. This will be discussed more in depth with interested parties.

With a few simple changes it could be made much more comfortable. Softer spring rates, Group N or stock mounts, and a progressive 91-93 octane tune would be all it really needs. By the same token its not far from being a fun track car, would need some form of camber adjustment in the rear and an aftermarket radiator. For me the joy has been periodic terror, it works well as is!

    Quick Overview of Condition:

Transmission and Differential: Fluid every 7500k since I've had it using Extra-S(ownership from 20k miles onward).
Engine: Amsoil Break in OIl SAE30 used for the first 3 changes(30 minute warm up, 50 mile, and 300 mile). Next change will be Brad Penn 10w-40 at 500 miles.
Brakes: Just replaced pads and rotors with the Girodisc/PMU setup, Fluid could be changed as its been about a year now.
Suspension: Bushings greased 3k miles ago, sway bars and related brackets were powdercoated while I was rebuilding engine. AST4100 coilovers have 3200+ miles on them.
Clutch: Disc and flywheel installed at the same time as most current motor build, pressure plate was re-used and has 1400 miles.
Body: A few minor rock chips and paint has come off the inner and a bit of outer rear fender from aggressive tire setup. This has been touched up. Last I counted there are 4 very minor dents that could easily be removed via PDR, barely noticeable on white. Other than that it's only seen two bucket washes or spray rinses. I err on the side of having a dirty car over sub par washing or the aggressive citrus/acid based touchless washes. Periodically clay barred along with the application of sealant and wax. I have list of products used for any detailing nerds. The front bumper is from the 2011+ WRX/STI, and was done after the car eat a Raccoon cracking the lower portion of the original bumper. It has also eaten an owl that did no damage aside from splattering blood across the hood and headlight. This is how it gained the name White Wolf. Animals beware. The car has only seen one relatively mild Minnesota winter, before that it was a southern car.
Wheels/Tires: One very minor scratch on one wheel, a few tiny chips, stickers are peeling slightly. Zero curb rash. I have a second set of stickers if you want them to look near perfect. The wheels have been used minimally, the Hankooks are the only tires that have ever been mounted. These have 70% of their usable life left.
Interior: Good condition overall. A few small scratches in the lovely Subaru plastic and the accent stitching down the center of driver seat bottom was cut. Still have to get photos of this.

The work has been done by myself and a local group of Subaru Gurus known as NF Performance, or Nuke and Fuji Performance. Check around the forum, they are great guys who know Subaru's. This is not the first time I've built the motor. After the stock motor went I built it mildly and the incorrectly produced A1 Technologies MAP H11 studs allowed the head to lift at 29psi. Not surprising really. I went with a simple rebuild and had a shop polish the crank. The journals were out of round allowing clearances to be inaccurate. Bearing noise after 15 miles. Decided to do it a little better and upgraded a few more things and redid everything. For the builds I was hot tanking everything I could, hand cleaning some such as intake AVCS gears, charge piping, intake mani, TGV's, and replacing what I couldn't(Oil pan, pump, Oil cooler, Exhaust AVCS gears…). So far this build has 418 miles on it, 315 were break-in before the tuning. I used a mixed break-in method of slow pulls to 5000rpm allowing the engine to slow itself. During normal driving I have altered the revolutions as much as possible. We made 515whp/450wtq at just 25psi per VD which compares very closely with MAPs Dynojet. This is fuel system limited, it will need a larger pump/double pump/surge tank setup with injectors in the 1600-2150cc range. With these upgrades on E85 it should make a healthy 500wtq+/550whp+ at 28-30psi. If you are not near E85 this fuel system is enough for 93/100/C16 tuning. I have a lot of my receipts, some are sure to have gone missing from moving a few times. Lots of stickers/decals too.

It's a shame to see you're selling! This is such a well thought out and executed setup! It just needs a little more fuel and it could be a monster on E85.

Will be sad to see it go, but there will be other projects in my future. Variety is the spice of life or something like that. It will be a riot for whoever buys it. I have a feeling if I keep it it won't have in interior by the end of the year...

That S2000 CR is way too nice for my purposes. That being said I do see an F22C in my future, preferably with a Full Race manifold attached to a spinny thing.
