Does any one here have a set of ARP head studs for a ej257?

Map is on back order for arp's and even there house brand. The only ones they have in stock are the ultra race ones or something like that... For high horse power builds. I'm building a hybrid 257 and keeping the stock 2.0 turbo for the time being.. No where near needing bolts made to hold upwards of 800-900 horse power.

I plan to call DB tomorrow, but just figured I'd ask around here first.

    Thanks guys!

If not building for power what's wrong with stock?

I'm not building for power.. Right now. I'm sure It'll see a big turbo in a few months. I like high-ish boost levels for even the stock little pee shooter I have right now, so I'd just like to do the ARP's to have one less part to buy the next time it blows up.

Damn! I've had a PM offer for a set of cosworths for 280, but those are more then I need. I'm half tempted to use a set of stock but I'm afraid I'll lift them... Then again my old 2.0 heads didn't lift at the 21-23psi the little guy was able to push out before..

Ya know what... mods, you can close this thread down. I'm going to just take my chances with some stock replacement ones from the parts store.. I'm too impatient to wait for a set to pop up and I should be just fine with some stock ones. Thanks for the offers everyone!

Stock ones should work, that's what my Hybrid setup is running. With a vf48 on 20psi. Otherwise, +1 on the Flat Irons Tuning...they're out of Denver tho, so it'll take a few days if you go that route. Good luck!

Makes me feel better hearing that. I don't plan to push more then 25psi even when I go big turbo... If this motor pops I don't know if I'll rebuild again for big power or say **** it and upgrade to a CTS-V. Hopefully it doesn't pop soon, I'm working on buying a house right now! haha.

Bringing this back up... The parts store guy originally told me it was 70 dollars for the whole set, all the bolts I need. I figured hell yeah, that's 100+ bucks I was saving from the ARP's... Go pick them up last night and it rings out to 139$ and some change... It's 68.79 PER head... I'm not spending that much on a set of bolts that I wont be able to reuse if and when the motor comes apart.. So I'm back on the hunt for a set.. I'd like them by Saturday morning if I can find some.. I'll probably be placing an order tonight with what ever local shop I can find that will price match the 160 I've found them online.. So if anyone local has a used set, let me know.. I have cash and I want them. Only problem is tomorrow (Thursday) and Friday, I work 9am to 9pm so I'd have to pick them up from you in the evening...
