ATTN! Free pizza or something for talking about cars

***LET'S BE REALISTIC***
There is NO WAY we will be able to talk in-depth with every single one of you. Honestly, I figured there would be TOPS 10 people there. Well we have a ton more now. WHICH IS GOOD. But as I said we may not be able to talk to everyone of you but we will be running video and sometimes just observing how you interact with one another. As things develop I will let you know what the potential client is and if there are any other things we can do with you guys.


As many of you know I work in the advertising automotive industry. Currently, we are working on a new biz pitch related to the automotive performance/tuner industry. We want to talk to people like you.

I know you guys generally hang out at Firestone on Friday nights. Will you be there this week? What is the best time?

We want to film and take pictures of you with your car. Is there enough light in the parking lot?

This isn't a sells pitch or anything like that. Nothing bad will come of it. We just want to know what performance means to enthusiasts. We may talk about racing we may ask you questions about your definition of rice.

HERE IS AN EXAMPLE OF SOME QUESTIONS:
-How did you first get interested in cars?
-What gives someone "street cred"
-How do you decide what parts/accessories to put on your car?
-Do you hang out with other guys who love to customize/modify cars? (duh)

All questions are along those lines--nothing personal like income, family, etc.

Can I set a time?

If you come at 8:30pm we will have pizza and non-alcholoic drinks for the masses.

Please post back if you plan on being there so I can gauge how much food to bring.

cool. i am sure people will be at firestone since they always are rain, shine, monsoon, tornado, ect.. they still show up. most people show up around 9 or so, although some come later and other earlier. i highly doubt that there will be enough light. we only have 1 streetlight and the sn will be long gone. so you might need an alternative light source.

this should be neat. are you gonna give us anymore info on what the photos footage will be used for?

 

If you are shy about talking on camera we might just talk to you and take notes. We work to make you comfortable. Not the other way around.

Anything will be appreciated.

The video footage is for internal use only. It won't be broadcast or shared in any way. It's just easier to take notes, remember quotes, etc. if you can simply rewind.

Later on I can tell you what product this was for.

As far as lighting for shooting video, you can check out the firestone picture thread in the photo/video gallery forum to get an idea. But, if you have a decent camera it should be ok.
