Directions from 494:-From the North, take Bass Lake Rd/County Rd.10 (exit #26) west from 494.
-From the South, take Highway 55 (exit #22) west from 494 then go north on County Rd. 101.

Food & Gas: 1 mile W on County Rd. 10

Online preregistration is requested and strongly encouraged. It will make day of registration much easier.​

Fees:
SCCA Members: $40.00
Non-SCCA Members*:$55.00

* Non-members are required to purchase an SCCA Weekend Membership for $15.00
(The weekend membership can be used as a $15 discount on a full SCCA membership).

All competitors and spectators must sign the official SCCA Waiver of Liability.

Please download the registration and identification forms, and have
them filled out prior to the event if you don’t register online.

All competitors MUST work the course as a condition of event entry.

All competitors must have an FRS Radio, radios cannot be shared between competitors.

All competitors must have a Snell/M 1995 or newer helmet. Loaner helmets are available but the quantity is limited.

Passengers will not be allowed as per SCCA rules.

We need volunteers for course watering Saturday afternoon.

Schedule:
Registration: 9:00AM-10:00AM
Tech: 9:00AM-10:30AM
Course walk: 9:00AM-10:30AM
Driver's meeting: 10:45AM
Parade lap: immediately preceding each groups first run
Timed Runs Start: 11:00AM


Terrain will be a mix between hard pack clay, black soil and loose gravel, gentle to cars. While every effort possible will be made to make the course as long as possible; we may, due to circumstances beyond our control and the nature of the site be forced to limit the length of the course.

Corcoran Lion's park is located just outside the loop, just west of I494 and north of Highway 55. This event is the closest to the metro, and a really short drive for all the westies on here.

The surface is gravel and some clay, not grass over dirt.

The venue is designed for events, so spectating and parking are excellent.

The event is a National Challenge event, which means that contingency payouts are available. This means that if you're driving a VW, you could actually win money. I'm sure more information will be available, but you could look on scca.com for RallyCross contingency programs and that'd let you know what's what.

You don't need any special tires to run at this venue. In fact, I've run a WRX on hig-performance summer tires with good results.

FYI! One change from our standard events is that EVERY run will count!​

Super pumped for this. The Tleg will be out there with three pedals instead of only 2. Also with center and rear diffs locked with 4.11 gears. I can't wait.!

Just an extra "heads up" to pay close attention to event details as they evolve because since this is a National Challenge event, there will be several things we will likely have to do differently than usual (park expose etc.).

This is soo close to home, its on my calendar, I'll come out to support you guys.

 

Let the smack talk begin! Brent, Kevin and I will all be in M2 VWs. A certain car owner could certainly factor in as well.

Will spectating at this event be much like the Canon Falls event? specifcally, will photographers be allowed on the corners as long as they have a spotter or two?

 

Don't let this new guy show you up! I'll be bringing it big time with the 2.5 turbo..(hoepfully more straightaways then Cannon Falls so I can back up this statement).

What 'cause you have a few new trinkets on your ancient car? Now that you have to row your own, I suspect you'll lose track of what your doing and get lost on course. As for welded rear and center diffs, can you say ground loop? The back end is gonna pass the front so many times you may want to think of driving the course backwards. And no you won't beat me in reverse either...

Well that isn't the surprise, but if you hit as many cones as last time I will be able to drive it backwards and be quicker than you. You can't throw out the bad runs at this one Amy.

Also you forget that I have been running a locked center all season, so no major changes there.

 

THIS will make the event interesting for all!

 

No offense Amy, but my money is on Dan. I know how worried you get about these events and my guess is that you'll lose sleep over it and come to the rally-x all tired and frazzled. Then you'll drive like Mark and hit three cones before the starting line....:laugh:

Mark will correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that photographers are allowed on the course with a dedicated spotter.

Mark, I think just the well prepped and sorted rally car vs. the project car that's in it's infancy is going to be a huge undertaking on it's own.
So wielded, the diff is going to be.

But, I'm up for it... I've got a winning streak to uphold!!
