Did anyone catch the beautiful display in the sky?

I tend to track storms almost daily and have been waiting patiently for a chance to see them - it finally happened!

These were taken with my phone, I also took some with my Nikon:

Here are some "nicer" photos. This was the first time I've ever taken a long exposure shot, or one at night.

Most, if not all, were 10 seconds. I took quite a few, but many were blurry.

    Those are exceptional aurora shots!
I have spent many months under the stars in the boundary waters and have seen northern lights probably a dozen times but never with such well defined and bright colors!
It looks like there are 3 or 4 different colors which is crazy.
    Thanks for sharing!

We're currently at a Kp value of 6, so it's considered another storm, and could possibly reach fairly south like last night. If it isn't cloudy near you, go check it out!

A G2-class magnetic storm is currently in progress after a CME impact. The Kp index is at 6. If it continues through tonight, there will be a good chance for seeing aurora.

Make sure you tell Sandra Bullock so she isn't stranded in the ISS and then has to jet her way over to a Chinese space station to land back on earth...
Oh yeah I forgot to say "Spoiler alert"

The storm has died down. It is at around Kp 4, which is not even close to viewable from here. They have downgraded it from G2 to G1. No good for tonight.
