I have an auto-dimming mirror/compass for sale. Dimming function works, compass will need calibration when received. $75 OBO. PM me if interested.

Yes, I need to re-shoot the images of my monitor for sale, as there are no feet in it. This will likely mean no sale. Sex sells, so maybe naked foot?

How would you wire this into a car without the map lights up front?

That's a good question. I believe all WRX's come pre-wired, but without popping a look into your headliner I don't have a direct answer for you.

Map lights are on a different plug. Unless you mean that you don't have any electrical up front for the mirror, which should come out of the front of your headliner. The map lights come through a hole in the headliner.

What model year are you trying to apply it to?

They didn't come with the auto dimming option did they? I'm guessing that it would be a PITA to try to rewire everything to make it work. But I don't know how in depth the dimming function is with the wiring involved. :(

I'm interested in this. Is this gone yet? The mirror of course, not the foot.

All these need is a 12v switched source and ground. I put one in my 93 legacy with little problems. I spliced into my sunroof power line and grounded it to the roof.
I had to buy the window plate that it clips into from the dealer. Then just got myself a permatex mirror glue kit and stuck it on. Works great.
If i remember correctly Blue is switched +12v, Green is reverse dimming disable (not needed), and Black is ground
