I want to put an Auto Start in my XT and I already have a turbo timer to keep it running for 2 minutes after key is turned off. Will this effect the auto start and can anybody recommend a good one. The car is a 5speed.

I'm looking for one that can start on a timer or from a remote far away.
Also does the club get a discount anywhere to buy an have it put in?

The turbo timer and the remote start are doing similar things, so they will definitely interfere with each other. I'd say you should just get rid of the turbo timer. If you insist on keeping it, make sure whoever hooks up your remote start really knows what they're doing.

First off, how far away are you talking?? Some of the newer ones can go pretty far (almost 1/4 mile). As for the turbo timer and auto start interfering with each other, that shouldn't be a issue. You are basically using remote relays to act like a key, then there is just a timer circuit. You should have no problems having both of them work together. As for a auto timer to get the car to just start at a certain time, I guess you could do it, it would just be a little bit of work to get the clock/timer portion figured out. I would go with just getting a remote start installed.

Compustar makes alarms that work with auto start. I'm going to get one installed by tintmasters who is a vendor on the site. I just haven't set a date yet.

If I was installing an autostart in a manual transmission car I would only consider compustar. Like hofit said tintmasters is now a pro dealer for compustar and the new 2W900 remote is awesome.

I may or may not work for tintmasters.... :hsugh:
