I'm looking to get a Forester XT in the future and the are no manuals around. I'm sure if its feasable (financialy), but just how much effort does it take to convert an automatic to a manual?
So does that mean it would be possible to just swap transmissions? I'm assuming the firewall is already set up to have a clutch pedal mounted on.
Yeah, I was just checking out some other forums for tranny swaps on different cars and it looks like you have to remove quite alot to get in there and do it. On most of them, you had to mess with the ignition and and all sorts of stuff. Not to mention, I don't own a car lift. This would definitly not be a project for the daily driver.
Let's try and post correct info. 8) All manual Forester XTs are 4.444 The 2004 and 2005 AT XTs were 4.444 The 2006 and 2007 AT XTs were 4.111
