Some of you may recall the issues I was having with my LGT. Got tired of fighting it so it got parted. Took the 04 built STI engine and dropped it in an 02 bugeye WRX. Took a little longer than expected to finish, but now it's done. Usually I have my tuning done by King Nuke, but this time as it turned out with timing I went to DB and had it tuned by Shane. Just happened to be there and there was a time slot opened. 02 WRX with an 04 built STI engine. Blocked off AVCS ports in cams and installed WRX non AVCS cam gears. 323 hp at 17 PSI on pump gas. Now I just need to baby the stock trans until I can find a little beefier one. Couple minor issues to sort out yet, but it's running and I'm smiling. Terry
Congrats Terry!!! Too bad the Leggy didn't work out because it looked amazing! But drivability is waaaay moar better than looks.

I hope to hell this car runs OK and am glad we don't have any cliffs nearby to tempt you to drive off of if it doesn't.
So far it's running good and strong. A few little issues, but nothing that can't wait for warmer weather.
Been having a few random codes pop up. Sometimes misfires, sometimes a generic ground, replaced the FPCM and so far so good. Still getting a random bank 1 circuit something or other so may need a front o2 soon. This thing pulls soooo hard when it spools. Big smiles. Just need to get this trans through to warmer weather and find a more heavy duty one. Also having a little idle search issue when coming to a stop and pushing in the clutch. Gonna try cleaning the IACV and see what that accomplishes.
Keep getting P0420. I'm running full 3 inch without cats. Guess I need to get my rear 02 sensor deleted.
correct me if I'm wrong, but i believe if you have an accessport you can completely wipe that code so it never shows up again.
I'm sure, but I do not have an AP. I sold it a long time ago to have an open source done. I just need to visit my tuner.
I like the super simple solution of a foul-stopper spacing the rear o2 out from the exhaust stream. Cheap and hasn't failed to do the job yet. http://s43.photobucket.com/user/Domeskull/media/DSCF1602.jpg.html
I thought about that, but since I do not run cats I just had it deleted. No cats, no reason to monitor their condition. Hopefully this weekend I can clean my IACV and solve my idle spike/searching problem.
I think I found my idle spiking problem. I went to clean the IACV and this is what I found. Some people should NOT be allowed to work on cars (this is in reference to me since I did it). Still cleaned it while I was there. Washed it on the way to work today, so I snapped a quick pic. Won't look like that after the drive home.
