Just an FYI, Discount Tire in the south metro has gotten a batch of hakkapeliitta R2's that are out of round. Specifically 225/55R17. Took 3 seperate installs and 12 tires to put together a good set.
There has been a lot of this happening. 3 of the 4 Hakka R2 SUVs I got in 235/60R17 for our van were unusable (from Discount Tire Direct). DT took care of it but it took two weeks. Jeff "TAG" has seen multiple sets bought as new with date codes 2-3 years old and with significant issues. I'm not entirely sure if this is Discount Tire dumping old stock, or a Nokian manufacturing issue. My original tires were just over a year from manufacture. I haven't actually looked at the replacements' dates.
I ask because I bought a set of these last year from Discount Tire. I've had them balanced twice and they don't seem to want to balance perfectly. I still have a slight and subtle vibration.
