About 2 weeks ago I went in at BP Subaru for 2 recalls on my 02 Wrx. Cruise control clip and Driver side slider bolt. Well, I was driving yesterday accellerating onto highway at regular speed. The Bolt become loost and the screw hole where the bolt goes into snap off the slider making it feel like someone tilted my seat back. Almost loost control of my car. The front of the seat can lift up about 2" off the slider. Everytime I accelerate the seat tilts back. I manage to get home and fix it again...damn..that was scary.

Agreed with the Aussie. Things can happen, it's not like they're out to get you. If anything, give them a chance to make it right for you and then complain if it sucks again. Whining on here doesn't accomplish anything besides make you look like a baby. You're not a baby, are you?

Most people have known this fact for some time. Plus, I'd rather be an ******* than silly.

Srsly though, bring it back and demand some sort of compensation for having your life in jeopardy from their negligence.

Don't do that, you'll just sound like an asshat. Express your deep concerns about the safety of your vehicle but don't go in demanding stuff. That'll just piss them off and it won't accomplish anything. You're still alive, the car is in one piece. You've got little room to make demands at this point, but if they screw up again it becomes a serious concern for BBB.

who cares about sounding like an asshat? His life was in danger from their negligence and you worry about coming off as a mean person. That's weak as hell.

They're at your mercy now and you better believe they are aware of the **** they could have gotten into if this would have turned out for the worse.

I'm not disagreeing, but fact is if you come in guns-a-blazing, they can shut you down. If you legally don't work with them and act like a ****head, they can show you the door. Like I said, you and the car are still in one piece, be willing to work something out, not act like a spoiled brat wanting his ice cream.

Go in and talk to them, nicely. Jeff the service manager is a great guy and he's gone out of his way for many people.

Also, my concern is helping him get what he wants in the most efficient manner. I've seen how things work on the other side of the counter and your approach is childish. While it would be the most gratifying, it won't get him what he really needs. I might sound like a vagina, but this is reality, not the playground.

My life is in danger everyday that I decide to drive on the road with the other 98% of the morons in this state, especially with some of the hack jobs who modify their car... yes.. I probably mean a few people on this site... put the bolt back in and tighten it yourself... it aint rocket science after all, you know how to blame the dealership for poor workmanshsip but can't do it yourself???!!! crap happens, I would be mature about it, call them, then go in person and talk to a manager and express your dis-appointment.... dont be a typical ******* american and start yelling LAWSUIT LAWSUIT!!! I would kick you in the nuts and piss on your head...

Did the bolt mount really snap off, or is that an over-exageration? It sounds like the bolt wasn't tightened enough, and it fell out.

Don't go back demanding, that settles nothing. Do what others have already stated. Express your concern of your safety, and others safety, and get them to repair it properly.

What I want to know, is why this person took their car to BP in the first place, when we've had numerous threads here detailing how this sort of crap has happened to others ?? :dunno:

from what it seems like to me, that everytime someone has something bad done to their car from a dealership people get all upset. Then people start the blame game. Seems like the OP always gets yelled by people like it his/her fault for the bad work done on their car...or is this just me

I don't think people are yelling, I think that a number of people are saying that before coming on here and flaming, it might be worth the courtesy of talking to the dealership and giving them a shot to remedy the problem.

Really? Because they didn't put my rear seats back in either. BTW they are still loose. Good thing though, I'm waiting or my fuel pump:biggrin: and I'm already one step ahead! It's like they were giving me a clue to what's my next mod LOL.

All my comments were made without knowing any history on the place. I stand by my advice as posted, but it is a somewhat paler light that BP stands in to me.

    chill, chill yall....
I'm just saying that BP subaru did a bad job on my car which I dont even care...at least I can fix it easily. I know stuff happens. Not a big deal. Its just a FYI thing. I'm not gonna go tripping about it. Plus it was a Recall stuff and done for free.

Just a safety warning for everybody about works done to their Vehicle from anywhere.

you are entitled to have your car fixed correctly.. but remember nobodies perfect and just cause you work at a dealership doesnt make you perfect...

and like Ray said if it didnt bother you why post on here that your life was in danger etc etc.... sounds like whining to me
