We'll i've had the battery reloc box sitting around forever and i finally got the red top yesterday. Also i bought rich's IC sprayer tank. I will be using the tank just for my washer fluid. My point of all of this was to free up some space in engine bay, plus getting the battery out of the crush zone and moving the weight off of the driver front. I'm not 100% done with the wiring yet, but almost.
Are you just putting some bolts through the floor to fasten the box down? I've never bothered to look, but where's the gas tank from inside the trunk?
no bolts through the floor. there are two bolts that go through those two metal support bars, then a strap wrapped around the supports and the box(the straps are red so they blend in). the gas tank is pretty much right under neath where the box sits.
finished her up tonight. got all of the wiring done for the battery and sprayer tank.:banana: here are the engine bay pics you wanted... oh and i put my stock airbox on, i'm not sure if its just in my head, but it feels like i have more lowend with my stock box vs. my perrin short ram.
care to make a write up on how to relocate the windshield washer. but nice job dude! i plan to put my battery in the back some times soon too.
The windshield washer tank relocation is pretty straight forward. 1. take out original tank(2 bolts and wire harness), and water hosing 2. Cut off wire harness leaving about 3-4 inches of wiring(2 wires) 3. Splice in about 15' of wire then reattach the harness(bring this to the trunk) 4. You wil need about 15' of hosing as well. Get a 1/16 to 1/16 connector and attach your new hosing to the hose you took off your original pump. 5. Get an Sti sprayer IC sprayer tank.(you can use the sprayer tanks pump too) 6. There is a spot on the passenger side of the trunk right between the wheel well hump and the rear tail light for the sprayer tank to sit. Take away your carpet and find a hole to bolt the sprayer tank to. 7. Plug the harness in, put the hosing on the nipple. badabing.
