Oh just saw OEM heads so that means new OEM valves and valve springs? Going to bigger cams you generally need upgraded valve springs/retainers at least.

May I ask why you only have a 10mm oil pump? I'm not a complete expert and you should normally go with what your engine builder recommends. But if you're going to be revving past 7k, you might want to go bigger and possibly shim it for higher pressure. I was running a 12mm JDM pump on my Rallispec block (per their recommendation) with stock heads. 08+ STI's came with a 11mm pump.

Anyway, I can't offer any advice on the cams, but good luck on the build! It would be cool to see your numbers when the build is complete...I always liked the idea of those Element tuning stock location turbos.

The 04 Sti only has single AVCS and most of the experts say you shouldn't run a bigger oil pump than you need. Shimming it is probably a good idea and maybe porting and polishing but going with too big of an oil pump will just heat up and possibly aerate your oil at high rpms because it is sending so much oil back through the bypass valve.
The 11mm flows a lot more than the 10mm and the proper oil supply should be calculated by the engine builder based on clearances and whatnot. This GT65 turbo isn't ball bearing but if it was that reduces the oil demand even more and that is when people who run an 11mm or 12mm pump with single AVCS would see problems.
Your car had dual AVCS and if Rallispec said to use the 12mm I would trust them.

This is a nice build. I have a set of GSC S1 (268/264) cams for sale and I think they would be a good match for this setup. The Element Tuning GT65 is a 65lb/min turbo and it should be able to do over 500WHP with E85 and high enough boost. With the GSC S1 cams I previously ran a stock location Kinugawa 60-1 (61lb/min) and was able to run a 10.9 @ 129mph. Then I also ran a PTE 6266 (73lb/min) and ran a 9.9 @ 140mph. That was also on these cams. They made 666WHP on the dyno with the 6266. IMO, the S1 cams are plenty for a turbo that will make around 500WHP and still give you headroom for a little more in the future.

The cams I have for sale are known to not have issues. The S2 and S3 cams (and other similarly sized cams from other manufacturers) over the past few years have been known to eat buckets and destroy motors. The S1 cams haven't seen this (likely due to lower lift). The new cams they're coming out with are made from billet. They're more expensive and so far mainly unproven (they are just getting to the market now). People seem to have a lot of faith in them, but I haven't seen much of any results yet. Please let me know if you're interested in mine. They are out of the car and ready for sale. The photos in the thread are of the actual condition. They look like new. I'd guess they have somewhere around 5,000 miles on them.

This is my old car, and my build. The oil pump is shimmed and ported, all the short block work including the oil pump work was done by Jeff Chang (Crystal_Imprezav on Nasioc).

How in the heck do you get in touch with NF? I have left Nuke a voice mail, and sent them a few e-mails through their website. Also has anyone had their car tuned by Jordan Schreyer who use to work for MAP and is currently with sm-speed.com out of Blaine? I heard through the grapevine that Jordan is excellent at what he does, but would like to know if anyone has had experience with him?
