can i go with a wrx/sti struts and springs combo? will it fit? if i do get some lowering springs on stock strut, how will it ride? i cant stand the feeling of a boat ride on stock suspension anymore. anyone with any set up. please let me know.

wrx/sti take off will work, BUT, and I mean BUT, your upper control arm will be way, way, way to close to the body. The wrx/sti have a bent upper control arm and the foresters have a straight one. So once you get to low, the arm hits the underbody. Most speed bumps will make it hit. 2 people in the back seat?? Best of luck, the arm will just be resting on the body. It looks cool, but you lose all functionality.

I have swift springs in mine (about a 1.5" drop) and have no issues. Been running them for around 40k and the struts are still fine. I did a built thread for my forester that should pop up in the search.

Modern Outbacks and Foresters have different crossmembers and some suspension arms. To make it so the suspension has a proper geometry, you need to replace the entire suspension, crossmembers, tie-rods, etc, to make the suspension geometry acceptable for the ride height. It's really not worth it.

If you can find someone to put some dampers together, you would be in the money since custom springs are not that hard to find.

No, the struts will be to long for the short springs. You would be riding with the struts bottomed out. Like Piddster said, unless you plan on doing some serious suspension work, you best bet is just swift springs, or getting a coil over package that will work for our cars.
