watch out if you go to showplace 16 theaters in coon rapids. my car was broken into there sunday night between 10:30pm and midnight, as well as at least 1 other car. Cop said there have a been a few recently. Luckily the factory alarm did its job and nothing was taken out of the car. but just a heads up.

It's best that nothing got stolen. :/ Makes me think twice about leaving things out in my car, that's for sure.

This, friends, is precisely why my car stays garaged monday - friday, and pretty much only comes out for the weekend meets and such. I would never take my car to a mall, and I would never take it to a movie theater...especially on a weekend.

me and the girlfriend were gonna go there to see wedding crashers last night i guess its a good thing we didnt. my buddies civic got broken into there last year too. whenever i have to park my car somewhere like a movie theater or mall at night i will only park right in front of the doors or right under a light up close to the front, i'll drive around for 5 minutes to find a good spot if i have to.

the window was smashed, big time. I was parked about 1/3 of the way back, so pretty close to the front. another car must've been hit too (bg pile of glass), and they were really close to the front, like 7 cars back! There was a WRB STi in the lot too, closer to where the 2nd glass was, hope it wasn't his.

I only go to matinees now. Theaters are too easy to get broken into. My brother and i went to a movie at the Regal in Mpls/ Brooklyn Center, and parked next to an Escalade on 22's, and when we came out it was an Escalade on boulders.

damn thieves... just the other day I came out of my friend's appartment to find a fist/heel sized dent in my front left quarterpanel. no paint smears and no possible way for a car to touch that place. it was just some punk who decided to make me shell out money for dent repair. i wish minnesota was like brazil (i think?), where car owners can use any means necessary to protect their cars. I saw a tv show with cars that had built in guns/tasers/flamethrowers to deter theft.

That sucks, time to roll out the Totoya. Just take it up there and just watch your car and see if anyone does anything to it. Many people will want to break into your Toyota.

that's what i'm driving now. Didn't you see us working on it in my driveway. It had sat for 2 months and the rear brake drums rusted solid. We pounded the hell out of them with a BFH for 20 minutes. I Finally said EFF it and just drove it in reverse down the road with the rear wheels locked up until they came un-stuck, it was a funny sight to see i'm sure.

You probably have more money invested in the stuff (CDs & such...) IN the Corrolla than you have in the entire car INCLUDING purchase price...

MINVAN, Hulke .. Think MINIVAN! No one would break into a cherry colored Mini... :)

Actually i have, but it was an alternator. THe car was $50, alternator $80. Oh and the speeding ticket i got in it was $120. That's all i've done to it besides adding gas.
