So a new line is $180. I found a place called Dealer Automotive Services in Hopkins that does AC work and will do aluminum welding for about $30. I'll make sure to bend the line more this time so there's more clearance from the IC. When I pull the line to bring it in, should I plug the holes in the car with something? As longs as I don't turn on my AC, the system won't try to pressurize will it?

why not pm readymix... I think he removed all his a/c lines etc... plug the holes just to stop crap getting into the lines, but either way a vacuum will need to be put back onto the system and re-charged obviously...

when you fix it, go to your local hardware store and get that black foam wrap that goes on water pipes, the smaller stuff, then wrap that around the ac lines so it wont happen again

I had the same thing happen (APS TMIC). I replaced the line myself, put on the foam stuff, bent the line back and had it recharged and stuff. Works great! :)
