so far my current sooby! haha, just kidding. It has had more problems than any other car Ive owned, but thats what happens when you buy something thats been wrecked and rebuild it. Currently I'm saving up for my throw out bearing. ugh.
honestly, i have loved all the cars i have owned, but probably the biggest "lemon" would have been my thunderbird sc, with its head gasket problems, but i still loved it to death, when it was running good it rocked, 210 hp 330 ft lbs tq
I haven't really owned a lemon... unless you count my 93 taurus which had transmission problems already when I bought it.
83 Mazda 626 sedan. Nicknamed "the Bucket". Was my winter beater when I owned my 1964 Pontiac Bonneville 4dr. hardtop. The 64 had the "drive-by" windows with no centerposts! Looked sweet with windows down and had a 389 in it that would decinigrate any set of tires!!:yumyum: But back to the lemon, way too many problems to list:laugh: Just a few;mosquito fogger exaust, manual windows that did not work, driver side door did not open"bet a few if you have been there", and the driver seat was broken and layed all the way back. So you either had to lean forward or look straight "gangsta"!!
Lemonade: I sold a 71 Pontiac LeMans in pristine condition for a big wad of cash and a smaller '87 Jetta . .. An old lady T-boned it on the starboard side and totalled it . . . My ex-wife (before she was my wife) left for Europe with me driving a crab-walking, only get in from the left kinda Jetta (yeah, claim money in pocket) & came back to be surprised by my '86 Porsche 944 Turbo. Story ended just like Pretty in Pink Well, that was lemonade. . .. as for lemons - I had an '81 VW Scirocco, which I bought with a non-working engine . . . . stuffed a HOT (not stock) GTI engine in, and set the suspension up as close to rally as the time in history allowed. Gawds, when that thing ran it was to die for, but it didn't run more often than it did. Still the best package I have ever driven & yup, there is a 944T in the mix. It just didn't run (right) more often than it did. Oh, as a P.S. If I post anything else within 24 hours, please disregard as I am a fair bit more drunk than I was the last time I said stupid **** on this board. This message okay, any after and I beg the moderators to delete on sight. I will probably be okay in 24 hours.
about as big as an orange... wasnt as sour as one would think... hmmmaybe it was an orange... ha hh a
I guess I should have stated how much I love my sooby, how long I have wanted it, and how happy I am to have to deal with its stubborness now that I have it. I honestly could care less that I have to fix stuff on it. It was purchased as a project car and it will remain one until I kick the can (hopefully thats a long time). The things that go wrong are ::nock on wood:: kind of a blessing, because at least I can fix them right the first time. Having owned many-a-used vehicle, the peace of mind from having done the work yourself is priceless. And having gained the knowledge is essentially priceless too I suppose.
1990 eagle talon tsi- I bought it for about 950 bucks and the "used car salesperson" said that yeah everything still works and its all wheel drive. I look underneath the car from the rear and see the differential. So I was like ok sure. I bought it and a few weeks later I took it to my shop (when I use to work for Tires Plus) for an oil change, low and behold no drive shaft!!!!!!!! Long story short I sold after about a month and bought a 2001 corolla,
Well since i have only onwed 3 cars, and i still have 2 of them i wonder which the lemon was? lol. my first car 1994 (or was it 95) nissan pathfinder. body was in great shape, 4WD worked, AC, leather, ect.... nice car over all. then after me driving it for about a year.... it broke in half.... the frame had suffered some severe rust damage. so the back end got really bouncy one day. i picked up new shocks to put in, and when we pulled the back tires off (after already installign the fronts) i noticed that the frame wasnt really connected... lol. sold the car to some one whos gonna put a new frame under it, and got my impreza. in the end i can easily say that subarus can take a helluva lot more abuse!
my current RS would be my biggiest lemon! problem after problems!!! nothing mechanical, just exteriorwise.......
