well heres a little story for you all to read. I spent the weekend at bir and i had the opportunity to race. this was my first time ever racing on a track I was nervous, excited, and ready. My class is late model 4cyl turbo. As some of you know I have a 07 wrx with exhaust and a bullwinkle tune. My first run was saturday at 4 pm, remember i have never been on a track, I ran a 13.67 at 97.85 mph, a .414 r/t, a 1.86 60', i was pretty excited it felt so good and its such a rush. I was paired up with a mazda speed 6 I killed him by almost a second. second race was a make up for me as i had only 1 run in, it was solo at a 13.85 at 94.79 and a little slower rt and 1.96 60'. so today was the finals and it was hot on the track i was paired up with an srt4 and i went 14.1 at 95.88 beat the srt by almost a second and a half. I had to put a dial in number which i put it at a 14.0 and for the final race i was up against a pontiac solstice, he redlighted which automatically gave me the win but i didnt know this so i let off about a hundred feet left because i was still ahead of him but i didnt want to break out of my dial in(which didnt matter anymore as he redlighted) so i ran a 13.97 at 93.7 a r/t of .205 and a 1.95 60' so theres my first ever racing story i won my class and i have big trophy:biggrin: and i will be back next year, most fun Ive ever had!

Did you happen to see a Red Fiero with a 350??? That's my buddy. If it didn't break, he should've been in the 11's
lol yea it was alot of fun, driftin i didnt see the fiero.....even tho i was watching all the time when i wasnt racing, do you know what class he was in?

How much was it to run the weekend event there? I drag race quite a bit at Rock Falls but wouldn't mind trying a different track and doing a whole weekend event. Your reaction times were a little on the slow side but your overall ETs were great.
nitro i think it was a 110 for the whole weekend for camping and racing i only paid 45 for camping but my buddy broke his camero and he had an extra tech slip so i got to race in his place. and about the reaction times i was sleeping at the line i just didnt want to redlight, i was impressed with my self on my last run when my r/t was .202. also on a side note a big thanks goes out to all that have helped me so far devildevil for help with the exhaust and learning how to drive lol and bullwinkle for the awesome tune, couldnt be happier with it.

dang it jeff it woulda been sweet with another subie there. although it was fun beating everyone else tho......including v8s
yeah i know i was kinda mad that i canceled after i read this thread lol.....oh well maybe i'll go with ya next year i'd be down for sure....
yea well have to do sho and go and muscle car, we need to get more subies up to bir its a fun track/camping.
