bird in scoop?

well i was driving home from duluth this morning and i was about 30 miles from home traveling like 75 and all the sudden my car ate a bird. the bird was flying across the road and it got sucked up, it hit the top of the scoop so the bird split in half, half i mean on wing and the feet stuck on my wiper and the other half got sucked in and out the bottom of the car, i guess its a good thing i dont have my guts in the scoop otherwise it would have dented the crap out of my ic. has anyone else had this happen to them? sweet.:yumyum:

Rich hit a hawk with my old white RS..it left some blood & feathers but at least it didn't get stuck in the scoop or damage it. I hit another one after that when I used to take the backroads home from work in the evenings.

 

sweet, a hawk, thats like 50 points right there. yea i got lucky since i sharpened my hood scoop to make it razor like and it cuts things no problem

 

i hit a turkey one time and wrecked my car... i hate birds. glad your subie ate one

 

you sharpened your scoop, how and why? I used to joke about birds getting sucked into the scoop, but I didn't think it really could happen.

 

lol i didnt really sharpen the scoop but it sounded cool, yea i never thought it was possible but it did

 

my old subie ate a swallow once, through the opening of the grille. i was going 40ish and all of a sudden, WHAM! came home, looked at it and there it was. head first onto the radiator. i felt bad so i buried it . poor little bird.

 

that would definately suck with a bike!! Lucky thing it didn't hit any higher though!
Rich said on his way to work yesterday a hawk flew up carrying a grouse in front of him..he took the grouse out with the car but didn't hit the hawk this time. No damage at least and he said it looked like the hawk flew back down to get his dinner back.

 

I have come really close a couple of times. Nate what happened to you at HIN, I tired to find you but you just ran away.

 

it happend to me haha, when i went to pull apart my car, i found a bird on top of my block, haha, i have a FMIC so there was no TMIC to stop it from going down into the engine bay. i have no clue when it happend or how long it was there

ah chet i is sorry, i had to find my friends that i went with and we got bored so we decided to hit up uni.......took us an hour to get there because both iphone and google maps failed(as you know we're not city savvy) finally got to porkys no one there so hotel we went. o yea i love broccoli and cheese pasta sides
