any interest in possably getting 5 or maybe 6 speed ss kits? retail ~ $1200 give or take. maybe importing them-aaron
If this is anyhting like the 5-zigen ones or this its a joke. http://www.takakaira.com/asp/template.asp?id=663&cat=2 All they do is have a hydrolic pump and are actuating the clutch and/or the shifter for you so that you can just pull or push your gears. Big waste of money and time.
"Basic operation : If you pull down the grip from the neutral position, you will be in 1st gear. If you pull it down again, you will be in 2nd gear. If you push the grip up, then you will downshift. Since it isn't a dog transmission, clutch operation is necessary for both shifting up and shifting down."
Ok, I get how it works. My boss races Grand American Series with a Pontiac GXPR and they have that. They actully have a pressure sensor in the shifter that retards the ignition timing for a split second when he pulls on the shifter. Taking the load off of the transmission and allowing it to shift. Also his trans is a dog box.
