Well, you can't really do too much without new injectors + ecu.. I'd say just get a full exhaust if you were going to do anything. You might be able to go with one of those Deadbolt ported stock turbos, ask Chong about those he had one.

Your stock fuel system can't take a bigger turbo. End of story.

Maybe a better option would be maxing out boost your current system can compensate for.

as it is, you should proabably run larger injectors for the stock turbo. Wrx injectors are a bit on the small side. If you are looking for some power, pick up a utec, or tbe and uppipe.

There are no turbos out there that will be an 'upgrade' to your current one and wont require upgraded fuel injectors and possibly a fuel pump. You are on a path to quickly blow up your motor if you don't get your fuel system up to par with the turbo you are using.

After you've got the supporting mods (EM, fuel pump, injectors, TBE) to support the new turbo, i'd suggest a tdo5 16g. It's very comparable to the VF 30/4 series turbo, but spools quicker and is more efficient, as well as it is rebuildable and upgradeable as the IHI's are not. Deadbolt has them for roughly $800 and they include lifetime rebuilds for free. This turbo would be good for consistant low 13s, high 12s with a conservative tune and roughly 260 whp, depending on tune.

I've ridden in DSMs with big 16Gs, they have quick spool up. But, most of the people I knew with them trashed them for a 20g (either TD06H or TD05H, what I have) because it just wasn't enough power... Depending on what you're going to use the car for. The 20g still spools up quick with the TD05h exh. housing. I get full boost around 3500 and it pulls like crazy until redline. Then again, with a 16g all you need are 550cc injectors. Depending what 20g you'd need 660-750 to get them in the safe range. Also, with either turbo you may need a FMIC some DSMs can get them to run on Supra sidemounts, but I'm not too sure of the flow capabilities of the stock WRX intercooler.
