Alright guys the weather is warming up, and it's time to get ready to pull the cars out of storage, bolt on the new parts, and get your baseline numbers for 2010. Here is your perfect opportunity. MAP will be offering 3 dyno pulls at the discounted rate of $50. Also, all proceeds will go to "Race for the Cure." This is the perfect opportunity to come out of hibernation, and get the season started. We will be firing up the BBQ, and there will be hot dogs and hamburgers for sale. There will be plenty of space for a show 'n shine, so get your cars cleaned up and bring them out. For all you Vikings fan we will have a hat signed by Adrian Peterson, and a Vikings mini helmet signed by Steve Hutchinson that you will have an opportunity to acquire. So mark it on your calenders and let's make the first event of 2010 one to remember.

Here is our plan. We will do a sign up sheet with the times spread in 15 minute intervals. Please post up which time you would like, and we will try to put you in that slot. It will be on a first come first serve basis, so if someone else has already locked in that time we will reserve the one closest that is available. We will try to get this done as smoothly as possible, if dyno falls behind we will go until everyone that wants to gets a chance to dyno. Please respond with your full name and type of car you're bringing to dyno.

and does anyone know what a stock 2.2 awd puts down for comparison sake?

I would guess that the stock 2.2l would put down a hair under 100WHP and a hair over 100WTQ. I saw a thread about a guy dynoing his FWD 2.2l and it make ~104ish.

anyway I may attend. I would like to see what my car actually makes.

 

we are also discussing the idea of doing a swap meet while everyone is gathered as well. would that be of interest to you guys?

sure ill come i did the dyno at RS last fall and im curious to see how much different the dyno's read. swap meet would be cool as well!

I think I will come and watch. Pretty sure that my car wont like being strapped down to dyno with the summer tires on, due to rubbing.

Based on your feedback we have contacted a local Paintless Dent Repair factility about being present for this event. Times and pricing are to be determined, but we are working on being able to offer this for you.

Alright guys, things are getting close. Looks as though there will be plenty of people here for the event. The food is ordered, the shirts are here. It should be a great time. We would like to clarify, being this is an event where all proceeds are going to "Race for the Cure" all food, dyno, t-shirt, etc related purchases will need to be CASH ONLY. See you Saturday!

 

We have a couple of people who have contacted us to let us know they won't be able to make it, so there has been some moving around on the schedule. Please take a look at your current placement.

There are a couple of things that we would like to clear up for everyone. For those that have the <TBD> in front of their name. We are going to try to squeeze you in if there are people who do not show up, or we can do more then 3 an hour, but we can not guarantee you will get on. The last car on the dyno will be at 8:00.

Also Dent Kraft will be in attendance, however will be unable to do any PDR on site. Don will be out to do some estimates, and to hand our some business cards.

 

Can you throw me on the list? Il be there and hang out I don't really care if my car gets on the dyno or not but $50 bucks is a good deal if I could squeeze in. See if I can break 100 AWH or not lol

It's looking like there's about a 20-30 percent chance of rain. It has rained on past dyno days and if it does rain the plan is to have the dyno run as normal and move everything we can indoors.

 

see you guys in the morning. rain or shine this event will go on. we have large tents, and an awning that we can use for cover, as well as we will open the shop up to everyone. see you guys out there.

^ did you find out that it was still doing burnouts on the dyno? that explained the "low" numbers he was getting yesterday.

Also, I saw a DGM 09 wrx 5 dr parked kind of on the back side of things that had 4 piston subaru calipers on the front. Everything else looked pretty stock. What are those brakes from and do they bolt right up?
