so i got a new oem boost solenoid and i checked all my vacuum lines and the pill is still in the right spot in the vacuum line and everything seems to be all correct but i still only get 8-11psi in any gear? i cant figure out whats wrong. i used a boost controller for a little bit and i got 16 psi just fine with it so i don't think its my turbo. any one have any idea?

I think the second idea was a bad turbo, and someone posted a way to check if it was the boost controller before you bought a new one.

    boost leak

do you guys ever do a boost leak test or have a device to do this. it is a frequent problem in Z's. we made the first one from a solid round piece of thick plastic and carved it out to fit the the intake with a tappered effect. on the end of it we used a valve stem and a a pressure gauge. you put the into your intake and put an air hose on the valve stem and bring it up to about 10 psi and then take off the hose and listen for where it make be leaking. works like a charm let me know if anyone on here has somthing like this thanks
