Ok, so lately my 91 t-leg has been ding some really weird boosting. It will be shaky on the boost when cold, and then once it's warmed up(sometime when it's not as well) it will boost to 9 spick to 13, drop to 5 and go back up, and i'll continuously do this for awhile. Would it be the boost solenoid. I bought a MBC is hopes it would fix it, What do you guys think? Thanks!

yea could be the boost solenoid... could be a sticky wastegate. replace the bcs and check back.

Agreed, start with the small stuff first (solenoid). Only other two options i can think of off the top of my head is wastegate like legendx said or your turbo its self. Let us know.

I installed the MBC last night, and so far it's been working great....after one minor overboost that is.

So i got the boost problem figured out and the MBC works great, but my car has another problem, i think might be fuel related. If i drive it really nice it drives fine, but if i push it at all it seems to bog out and have no power i replaced the fuel filter and it didn't help, all new ignition from coils to plugs and wires. this car is turning out to be quite a headache...

Well, the guy i bought it from put some type of 3 inch dp and it's catless back to wrx muffler. He also installed an autometer boost gauge. K&n drop in filter. Other than the MBC i installed, it's stock.

Oh and my brothers car acted just like this when the knock sensor took a dump, however his threw a CEL. Its probably working fine till it sees boost then retards timing like a mofo. also try taking the vaccume line off of the FPR on the passenger side fuel rail, if any gas come out while its running you found your problem.

You also need to remember that with a MBC you can get into full boost part throttle problems. Such as having full boost, but only enough gas to support 2-3-4psi. A extreme lean condition will give you a bog feeling. I would ask what kind of EGT's you are running, but I am guessing that you don't have a EGT. Most MBC cars will run into it from about 20-25% throttle up to 60% or so.

so what would i do to fix that? it does hit full boost part throttle sometimes, but not usually that i've noticed. I also forgot to mention taht at idle it will stumble once driven for awhile, i think it's all connected but i don't know for sure.
