Speaking of which, what oil do you guys use? I hear Mobil1 is the best synthetic to get now. Also any preference on oil filters out there?

WTMotherF!?!?!?!11 Dude, don't be a pussy, change your own oil. It take 20 minutes for ****s sake. Go get a case of Mobil1 SuperSyn and an oil filter and do it yourself. WHY?

    1) Better Oil

    2) Because you have a penis

i have to say that Subarus are probably the easiest vehichles to change the oil on. it takes less then 15 minutes. plus you dont need to get under the car!

go to chaska checkers, but they only take oil not oil filters. or the recycle center off of 41 in chaska. and we use ams oil.

eeerrrr correction.. TECHNICALLY as a business you CANNOT do ANY work on a car that has the cats removed... you are supposed to replace the cats before doing any work...

MOst people wont... we draw the line at the exhaust.. we will not do exhaust work through the business officially if it has NO cats... unless the factory style cat is replaced.. we cannot remove a cat unless it is obviously damaged even to replace it with one... you cannot legally remove a functioning cat.... that is a FEDERAL LAW even though Minnesota doesnt do the testing it is a Federal offense with a fine up to $10,000 for business and owner of vehicle... or close too...

Most business will do other work if cats are missing.. ie oil changes etc...

we'll see....i read up on it that putting that in can break the seals/etcc due to synthetic having detergent in it to also help clean out the engine. Using conventional or a high mileage oil for the car would be the better choice, but i though i'd try anyway. I can get free oil changes anyway so if i start to see anything bad, i'll switch it out.

but switching back wont stop leaks, just use mobil drive clean, its good shizzly, if you rebuild your engine, then use synthetic

if your car has high mileage and you switch to full synthetic you are going to have serious leakage. it happened to me when i first bought my car and did my first oil change. i used castrol full synthetic at 110k and 5k later it started to leak. i didn't kno the owner before used regular oil or synthetic oil. i had to get the oil gaskets replaced and new seals all around to stop the leak.

after replacing my seal i added some oil seal additives by STP in it so it'll prevent future oil leaks. so far i have 140k and i'm still using 5w30 castrol full synthetic.

so lesson learned if you switch to full synthetic then its too late to go back to regular when you see any signs of leaks. you have to change all your seals and that is pretty costly.
