tonight i was playing around with an S4 and when i went to do some hard breaking and my wheel started to shake like MAD, almost like my wheels were packed with mud, do you think my rotars are warped or would new pads do the trick, i have just under 30k on the stock pads and rotars

I turned my rotors and bought new pads around 30k on my RS.

If you're getting huge vibration through your steering wheel under braking, then yes, your rotors are warped. Any sort of wheel imbalance (mud, for instance) would show up under normal driving.

But if your wheel shudders hard on the brakes, time to resurface or get new ones. :(

I changed my pads when it was around 60k miles. They're like...a little over half of their life now...it's only 46k miles with the pads. The rotors are still the stock ones. 106k miles on stock rotors. (I do a lot of engine breaking mind you and I ease off the brakes when I come to a stop to reduce rotor warpage, These rotora have seen 2 track days and 2 autocross days and the ring). I DO feel a tiny bit of pulsing on hard braking though....haha

its usually the rotors have a warp in them... if they have never been machined I could machine them for ya...
