bringing the car in today for my thrown codes... should I flash the base stock map back on the car or leave it on the editied stage 2 map? not sure, but I think this will erase the codes on the system if I do flsah back to stock. I just don't want that to interfiere with a warentee issue like a blown sensor.
Maybe you should just be honest with the tech's when you bring it in, and leave it the way it is. Not only will you gain points for being honest (as a TBE is a dead giveaway of a stage 2, anyway. It'll be obvious you're trying to hide something), I'm sure the tech's will have a much better idea of what is going wrong if you're actually honest with what you've done with your car. I get this kind of stuff often when trying to fix computer problems. I'm going to find out all the dirty details when I attempt to fix the problem, so just be open and up front from the start. It'll end better. Not to mention, warranty fraud = not legal.
that was pretty much the plan... since I feel that even if I did edit certain features of my car.. it shouldn't effect what's going on with the codes. I was more or less hoping to hear this than "yea, reflash back to the base map because if they see any form of editing be prepared..."
yup, what I was thinking.. i'll leave it be.. was snowing this morning.. another 3 inches are supposed to be due tonight
This helps us so much, to bad some people just lie to us, and then it can actually longer to figure out what's wrong.
