So I'm looking at these wheels that are insanely light......... 12.9lbs to be exact (over the stock 16-17lb BBS's thats a huge diff, esp since its unsprung rotating weight) The problem is is that I can only get them in a 17x8 with a 43mm offset, Im pretty sure Im going to have to have spacers if its going to fit, Does anybody know the appx weight for normal spacers? Also has anybody run into issues trying to put a 17x8 onto a 17x7.5? If anybody knows anything about wheels PLEASE let me know thx. the wheels Im looking at are right here

dont worry about the spacer weight since it's at the center of the rotation it wont make a difference( same with lugs) just worry about the strength you will lose by using a spacer

Yeah the spacers are relatively light when you consider the over all weight of the wheels, in addition it's so close to the center of rotation that the moment arm the spacer has against teh engine is very short making its mass even less significant. As far as spacing and wheel size i got nothing.

Have you looked into whether or not those will clear your Brembos? That should be your first concern, imho.

Buddy club = nice stuff. i was looking at their race exhuast that was like 2 lbs for a catback (not really but insano light still).

i am not up on my wheel specs but doesnt the smaller offest means it sits closer to your car. so you might have issues with strut/fender liner rubbing? not sure. 17x8s prolly wouldnt be a huige deal if they were spcaed right.

smaller offest equals sticks out further. larger offset sucks in further.

i like using this site. archaic but has good information.

Wider wheels require a smaller offset to keep the center of the wheel the proper distance from the kingpin axis. I believe(I don't feel like doing hte math right now) a 48mm offset is correct for a 7.5in wheel width. 43mm should be in the ballpark for 8in width.

Are these wheels a three piece? If they are, you can have any offset you want, within reason of course.

Well I called a company in California called Synic motorsports, and they said they were almost 100 percent sure that the QF's will fit. So I'll try to do a little more research and maybe give em a try.
