ok I am getting really pissed off... I just purchased the new one... I have install errors, wont install one of the movie files, so installation stops, so I try another gazillion times - same thing, so I resort to manual install - same thing... so today I take it back and exchange it... SAME FRUGGIN thing... it installs on my desktop (but wont play as it doesnt have all the hardware) so the file reads on that install... now trying again on my laptop which is less then a year old and has a buttlaod of capabilities...' I am so over this crap... ea games hasnt gotten back to me... what is my next resort short of throwing said laptop against wall... .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . got game for downtime and to relax.... now want to kill soemone more then ever... ha ha ha

can you install he game to completion and then copy over that one huge move file manually? (ie to the install directory) have you searched with google for C&c 3 install problems, i bet someone else has had this problem and posted on some forum (EA sports) or another.
I'm dr... unk.... so try downloading the update type thing and seeing if that works. I worked fine on my cpu, so it must work... I think... :biggrin:

got it sorted out.. I nstalled it onto the home computer as said.. so at 11ish last night I had a bright idea.. use the home pc dvd drive ont eh network and install form my laptop using the pc drive.. it worked.. ya ya ya ya yayyyy for me... ha ha ha

^ glad to hear you go it working. must have been a wierd error with the lappy dvd drive. i know that sime games use copy proctection so heavy that it interferes with the dvd/cd drive. when they first released Max Payne, it was said that about 1/2 of the copies sold did not work the people who bough them becuase the right protection messed up the CD drives.
