Can I make an aftermarket(lets say N1, ebay) exhaust system's tip to look like this one? The burned effect on the tip.

I did that to my tanabe srm exhaust, I used a propane torch and heated the tip red hot for just a few seconds.

I think it would be pretty hat to do this, because it will be hard to make it even all around.

I legitimately pity him. iPhones appear to suck the english capabilities of anyone that uses them. We get e-mails from people at my work and it's like they never took a 4th grade english class. Needless to say, it's not very hat of them.

do you really get that worked up that easily still? lol Maybe I am reading that the wrong way...

I know how iphones are though, you touch the "i" and it types the "k" or doesn't type anything at all...

make sure that the tip is clean of fingerprints, before you flame it.

I would go with their suggestions Kong. Maybe have a second person helping that could rotate the exhaust in a circle while you hold the propane torch to it, so you get a nice even burn.

Don't know how well it works, but maybe hella_sti has a pic or two of the final outcome?

get the flame right too... if you use an oxy and its not right you will blacken it... or you could just buy one of those ebay $20 mufflers and be done

If you don't get it how you like on the first try, you can always hit it with some 1200-1500 grit paper, probably wet, polish it if you want, and try again.

actually it doesn't, my tanabe smr exhaust was full stainless and I sanded the tip with 2000 grip and mothers al polish and the "burn" came out. I don't have any pics now that my car is gone but just make sure the tip if free of any oil and residue and you'll be fine.

    some pics from others
