That is considered a cool car? I guess I dont get out much. the 08 USDM sti is faster then the JDM one, i think thats pretty cool...
its different. There is nothing like that here. all cars sold in us are same. Is US government protecting US auto industry from complete failure by not allowing more cars from over seas that are just plain better looking, more fun, better built?
I don't like the bubble look, I'd have to disagree that it is "better-looking" it's like a VW bug on steroids.
Turbo charged Honda Fit is what that looks like to me. This car is more than cool to me, and I'm sure are GM guy 3rik will agree
I am just not a big fan of muscle cars. But i do like the way corvette looks, not my thing though. I am talking about mainstream cars not expensive luxury cars.
still, nothing interesting here that's available overseas that isn't available here (ZR1 and ...looks like the Viper ACR....AFAIK will be available in the US once in production). EDIT: oops.....I was being slow.... but, for the real interesting cars (supras, evos, skylines, not to mention all the specialty Subarus): things like the cool diesels that so many manufacturers are releasing in Europe.....not available here because of the emissions requirements, and mostly just in California. that's why VW didn't bring the VR6 TDI to the US.....solely because of CA!
haha taras, there are a ton of those in MA .. i HATE those! I never understood it at all!! I hate it because it just looks really funny, I'm sure it's a good car and I'll get flamed for hating it but it just looks funny!
well....they brought Brat's to the US. but that's definitely not a USDM one. it's RHD, looks like it might be the longbed version, and obviously is not even close to stock. although they stopped bringing them here in '87, but didn't stop making them until '94. perfect example, they weren't selling enough to justify paying the increased import taxes on them because they weren't a passenger vehicle.
because in america we like big trucks that have a lot of space that we dont need and use a lot of gas that is so cheap
This is why we all have subarus. Or at least, this is why I do. Gas mileage and it can haul a lot if you try. I certainly don't need an SUV to go get groceries. And even if I had children, I'd probably not get an SUV. If i felt that I needed one, I'd get a Forester.
nevermind....found some more conclusive pics....definitely not a longbed this make more sense? no? how about now
haha no chux, it doesn't! I just think it's silly looking. See, in MA the ones I saw usually had a lanky scruffy guy driving them with a dog in the back. I never figured out why someone would want one when they could buy a truck. I'm just weird, ignore me
Answer: The automotive world hates the US. Supporting examples: Skyline circa 1970's, before emissions, safety, and fuel consumption gilmpsed the conscience of America. Ford Focus RS, proof that even our own auto manufacturers hate us. The Renault Clio V6: Government conspiracy against fun. The Subaru Impreza 22B: Why the hell not? The Skyline GTR: Because Japan hates us.
