Well ever since I got the car I have been on the fence about the rims on it. I love the look but dont really care for the spoke color. I was wondering if its possible to paint the spokes and save the chrome lip with out having it look horrible? If thats not possible I'd be willing to trade for another set of 17's 5,6,10 spoke in black, black n chrome lip, or maybe bronze. Post pics if interested in a trade.
just dont skip steps, take your time and do it right the first time and you shouldnt have any problems at all man
Since I attend HCTC I thought I would hand them over to a student in the paint area (preferably second year) and let them get down on them for me.
yeah, thats a thought... i would say go down to the shop and talk to Jeff Goergen(sp maybe) or some of the instructors in AutoBody, they can get you some good students looking to do some extra work or get more practice and work in.
Seems like we all know the same instructors. lol, he owed me for doing work on the Trans Am and ****, but he gave me all the supplies minus my color to paint my new V5 bumper and my buddys SI bumper.
^ Just cuz you and Bielke have both lost to me multiple times, doesnt mean yous two have to be a bunch of haters!
Hey Brian, this punk a$$ kid thinks his car is faster than ours:laugh: Chet....why don't we have a redo tonight after work...oh wait (poors salt on open wound..listens for kitten like screams) your car blew up!!!!!!!!!!
So does the color black remind you of the color of the oil (what little you had) that was in your motor? Is that why your painting the rims a different color?
good luck at bloomington with that warranty....and once its not warranty have fun without the 20% on parts and 10% on labor!!
What? no the color is gun metal so it reminds me of the metal fragments I found when I cracked the oil pan ... I expected better from you Brian!
Yeah I know that it isn't warranty but at least they weren't complete a**h*les about explaining it to me! Thanks for not trying to help!
Ide rather have someone be a totall ass and save me 500 dollars, then pay that 500 and have them be nice...wouldnt all of us?
I guess you and I are different then, I'd rather pay a little more and get good service then save and be treated like sh*t!!!
Personally and professionally, heck no. Although it depends on how desperate you are to save money and the circumstance involved. I've had numerous clients fire the competition due to poor service then turn around and hire my team due to the higher quality they receive...even though we're way more expensive. another note- I'm not picking sides or a fight with anyone....I don't really know what happened and i don't care to get into it. BACK TO TOPIC- Paint them...it can be done.
So are you saying because Morrie's is cheaper on parts (and don't get me wrong I have bought and will buy again because of it) and labor that when someone comes in with a possible warranty evaluation and doesnt get the service they expected and decide to go else where, your service writer should responed with "I didn't want to work on your car anyways" thats ok service? Thats what I'm saving money for?
your situation is most definatly NOT warranty. "check your oil check your, oil F paintin rims" (its a song btw)
You are correct I in fact did buy this car from Jake, cool guy and loved what he had done to the car. Plus have only heard good things about how he treated it.
