This just like the scene's you'd expect from Final Destination yo Now who's collecting admission for this show lol
That was pretty good driving on his part, that evo didn't really get any real damage. Could've been MUCH worse.
That's the way I would have taken... And the semi driver was the most skill out of all of them... I could only imagine getting rear ended by that!!!
Well wait if this guy was taping with one hand and driving with the other then that might disqualify my last statement.
last new years right outside fargo (it was a bizzard) there was a 146 car accident all caused by a somolian truck driver that had never seen snow in his life and didnt speak english. it took the police like 6 hours to get everyone out of there cars and they had to take everyone out on snowmobiles becasue that all they could get out there. it was bad
Looks like it was a GoPro mounted cam... probably had it running because of the weather, showing people what he drove through...
I was in an accident something like this 7 years ago. It ended up being a 15 car pile up on a bridge going over the Wisconsin River near Wausau, WI. A snow plow caused a white out and started an accident. I was the 6th car in the accident. The last car was a 3/4 ton 4 door truck hauling an enclosed snowmobile trailer with 4 snowmobiles in it. It jackknifed and took out 4 crashed cars, missing me by only a couple feet. I definitely know what this guy is feeling!
The swearing was the best language for the situation, good manuevering on both ends, the evo for taking the high road, and the semi for missing the bulk of the cars, though it sounded as though it scraped a car when it drove by, it could have been so much worse! Makes me consider the camera mounted for this type of thing, insurance would be an added benefit too! Hope his insurance covered the repairs.
Seriously. Concise, accurate, and as good of a use of that word as I can think of lol What I don't understand is why some of the idle cars don't pull over to the side of the road. I'd like to think my first instinct would be "get the eff out of the middle of the road before I have a truck in the back of my head."
my question is why were they driving so fast in those conditions... especially the semi... he came flying through... I saw cars slowing down ahead before he started braking... yes idiots for stopping are to blame but as much blame goes to guys like the evo who think their cars are the shisnit and drive too fast.. its still a public road and you are surrounded by other idiots!!
I was waiting for someone to say this! We all know what we are capable of, its the jack wagon's that have bald ass tires and go 70 on ice and the first slight correction and this is the result. Most car's are afraid to move their vehicle's post accident, some are told they will be at fault and other's think that the police or state troopers will not be able to see who was at fault. Suck's but most dont know about Minnesota's no fault law.
These cars increased speed after they locked up their tires on the slippery surface. You can attest to this by how fast the Ford Flex was passing the Evo, the driver never let up on the brakes, but the Evo did which allowed his tires to get back up to vehicle speed which gave him the traction he needed to steer around the van. The semi is the same case as the Flex. In hindsight the Flex had a good chance of clearing the slalom had the driver been looking quicker and farther. The problem with most drivers is they're either driving under their tires or over. Under - causing a rolling barrier to others who are more equipped mechanically and skill making you a target. Over-driving above their skills and hardware will only make you look like an idiot lol. Believe it or not most driver never look up further then 10-15 feet. Why do you think people act so surprised and make so many small corrections. If you read the driver's comments below the video in the comment section he said the storm came out of nowhere. Weee
This is why I buy the best winter tires I can. I get a lot more traction than everyone around me, and that allows me to be a lot safer on the road. This isn't to say people won't do dumb things around you and maybe hit you, but I'm all for having the highest margin of safety available to use at my discretion. This includes watching the rear view mirror and creating room for people who have trouble stopping behind me. I've done that quite a few times.
Yikes that was nuts. Imagine looking in your rearview and seeing that semi coming? I'd have more skid marks in my shorts than on the road!
