You saying he should expect less or more Jason, I can't tell. I bought a T1i kit for $500 then sold it a year later for $400 with a second battery, filters for the lens and a 16gb sd card. Can't wait till I lose my ass on my 7D

No, I meant body and lens. $300 seemed like a fair price for the age and what you can find for the 300-500 price range IMO.
To be clear since my original post was ambiguous the 280 is not just the body it includes the 18-55 lens. I'm willing to include the tamron lens as a package at a lower price than individual. I have the Tamron lens listed on CL but haven't had the chance to list Rebel yet. Some goof on CL is looking for 250 for his identical Tamron lens! Cheapest I found on Amazon used in good condition was 250, so I thought it was priced fair. I don't think any buyer is going to complain about my price being lower than $300, but I'll keep that in mind when I list it on CL for negotiating room. Thanks all for your input

Ok $350 is a fair price for the entire package. Maybe start at $390 considering the used market on Amazon for the kit is $250 and the lens is around $140 either way I don't see you fetching $450 for camera that is now 8 years old.
