The bolt that your lug nut screws on to...I have one of those thats messed up. Rather than take a hack saw and cut it back a few threads...can I just replace the one? thanks

I'm guessing at Valvoline. They are notorious for draining the tranny fluid thinking that it was the oil drain, then putting 5 more quarts of oil in the engine and leaving the tranny bone dry.

lug stud or wheel stud. its a pretty easy fix.

    1.) get new parts
    2.) take off wheel assembly
    3.) remove brakes/rotors
4.) disconnect ABS cirlce sensor thing
    5.) pound out old stud
    6.) finangle out stud out
    7.) finangle new stud in
    8.) put new stud in
9.) put alot of washers on the stud and use a lug nut to pull it into place
    10.) reassemble

    tools required:
    BF hammer (stud)
    Allen wrenches (abs thing)
    17mm socket (brakes)
    19mm socket (lug nuts)
    Lots of washers

I work there. So far I've drained Tranny Fluid by accident and Shot oil all over someone's engine, and LMAO even put sythetic gear lube in someones subie diff. When valvoline pressures u to sell things, you dont have a choice! Unless you wanna see your bosses boss!

Valvoline is on the list of bad. Their products are nice, but the Instant Oil Change Service isn't.
