i dunno what happened today but my car was parked outside in the freezing cold for proly around 12hrs+ and when i tried to start it it wouldnt start so my dad had to jump me but the funny thing is after i got the car home i left it in the garage for about half an hour and started it again and it started fine this time. do you guys think that it didnt start due to the cold or the battery is starting to go? my car only has about 16k and its an 04 rs...i really dont think that batt is going but i just want to make sure its fine even tho i am going in to the dealership for an oil change soon
I just had the same exact thing happen to my 05 wrx. Turns out that the stock batteries are CRAP and they die before 3 years. And they are only 300 cca.I switched to a 600 cca battery and its awesome. It sucks that mine $hit the bed so quickly.
I actually have my old battery on the floor in front of my car, and it still works. It shouldn't given that it has been there since last year when I threw an optima in. Seems to me that some cars are harder on batteries than others, it actually has alot to do with the build quality and state of the alternator.
Check your steering Column...Make sure you do not have your parking lights on..It looks like this P< (close enough) make sure you don't see the red/orange strip...you want to see the P<
