Well I finally got my car done after 2 turbo kits and 2 new turbos, the car starts fine when cold but doesnt want to idle, im guessing its just a software problem. Im going to get a new map monday. But after you drive the car for a while and shut it off it doesnt want to start again, if you wait 20 minuites it starts up with no problems, could this be software related?? or is there something else that could be wrong? Rich
yes it is the hydra. im going to call phil tomorrow and hopefully he can send me a new map for me to load, I have the exact setup he is running in his car
I can probably help you with it. Startup sucks... big time. If you need any fine tuning, give me a call and I can try to help. Shoot, send me the map right now and I'll play around with it And Data-log it... on the highest resolution (16hz or something like that).
talked to Phil and this is what he said to do "Typically that is a sign of the car being too lean for the setup. I typically see this on cars with ported heads or cams. You will need to increase fuel at idle and you will need to increase the "cranking enrichment" at the higher coolant temps." so im hopeing that will help
on the 1st turbo kit the uppipe and downpipe werent even close to fitting, on the 2nd it was even worse. and finally when I contested the charges they sent me one that worked, but the turbo had a blown seal so it leaked oil, so they sent me a new turbo last week and all is good.car runs but just needs some fine tuneing so it will idle better. im comeing down sunday to bring it home
