yea after the fun run, i met up my friends at MOA, and i can felt my car shaked so bad. and when my car is idle, i can feel my car shake more than it used to be...does it normal?? do u guys think because of the exhaust is shaking, thats why i can feel inside the car ( before had wrxboy2003 changed the gasket between DP and cat back, it was so tied, and cant move or shake the exhaust, but after he put a new and longer gasket, i can shake the exhaust) !!!

If u can't explain it...I would bring it in to a dealership to get it diagnose, may cost you $80-$100.

    +1

We'd probably do more harm than good trying to diagnose a problem given your explanation. Its probably something simple anyhow, and you should be able to shake your exhaust. If nathan did the work on it I'm sure its the way it should be.

What Nathan did was fix the exhaust leak between the downpipe and the catback (this seems to be the main issue with most exhaust leaks). If the car is shaking, it shouldn't be from the exhaust moving back and forth. If so, it would instead be making a rattling sound... metal on metal.

The car shaking could be many things: maybe you broke an engine mount. Maybe your MAF sensor is dirty/needs cleaning. Maybe your Idle Air Control Valve is dead. The questions you need to answer before we can help are: when does the car shake? Does it persist when your RPMs climb and descend? Does it only happen when you're driving? When cold? Any sounds that you hear?

did you pick up some dirt in your wheels? one of your wheel weights come off? Does your steering wheels shake? Check your lug nuts. Hopefully you didn't bend a wheel? make sure your axle nut is tight or else wheelbearings/hub fall apart.

if it is SHAKING as in engine shaking...then it relates something in the engine. WHAT Subaru do you have? WRX STi? WRX? FXT? LGT? Outback XT?

    :lollol: So true!!!

If you're comfortable I'd check your coil packs, make sure they are bolted on tight. Check your IC hose for leaks, tighten everything up. then check your exhaust, especially the DP if it's aftermarket. (Check the dp hanger bolt near the crossmember....if that gets too close or starts to rub it will make all sorts of noise and vibrations.)

    good luck!

I would look at plugs and coil packs. Sounds like it is not running on all four cylinders. Are there any CEL's?

is the car actually shaking? or is it just stuff rattleing around. having an exhuast will cause things to rattle. my exhaust makes my whole dash rattle. it just the resonant frequency.

thenit isnt the exhaust... maybe the wya you beat on it at the fun run broke it... ha ha

If it was the exhaust I hardly think it would shake the whole car....

Ask bikerboy if he can look at it sometime. The whole car shaking does sound like plugs or coils. Just probably something loose.

Question, if you step on the gas do you get hesitation or full power? If you get hesitation you should start with the coils/plugs. If full power start by checking your motor mounts, exhaust, etc...

and on a scale of 1 to 10 how bad is it? 10 being worst

If your in the SW area I can look at it for you, otherwise I'm sure there area few people on the northside that can get it out....cough cough...bikerboy....cough cough. PM him and see if he can fit you in. I think he's reasonable for the quality of work and insight he provides.

^^ that was my initial thought. I bet either a plug fouled, a wire popped loose, or....gasp...

yah I dunno, just wanted to build suspense.

maybe invest in some new engine mounts. cause if they go bad, or deteriorate, your whole car will vibrate.
