Well this Saturday is actually not looking too bad weather wise (no rain "supposedly"). So who is going? Anyone plan on meeting up early and cruising in together??
Both. To prevent a lot of back and forth, let's meet that usual spot (from the previous thread) at 7am. Bobby and Steve's 7920 France Ave S, Bloomington, MN 55435
What? You mean perfect weather for my tubo! haha I'd be down to meet and cruise to the event. Determining my weekend schedule first, but this is definitly on the agenda! Plus, heading straight to the swap meet!
I'll be down there, I'll have a duramax though. Just hanging out but weather looks better then last month
Have always wanted to go to this but have always spaced it out. Is parking always a sh!t show at something like this? Is there a charge to get in and drool? Is anything old/cool welcome, or does everything on "display" belong to somebody that has a garage there? Just curious. Thanks for the help.
It's very simple: Readymix suggested that one's car should be clean and presentable. There is no charge, parking can be a **** show, hence getting there early and everything on display in a garage or out is almost always someone's machinery unless there happens to be vendors there. It really is a great time and a great excuse to hit Caribou for a double shot mocha.
I may be in again. My buddy is talking about taking his 74 Javelin and if that is the case I may just jump in with him. If I do go with my car I'll be at B&S's by 7am, but no guarantees.
I'll say it one more time. Just because it needs to be said again, especially with the rash of stancetards and ricers we've had lately. Cars and coffee is an opportunity for car enthusiasts to get together, talk cars, and see some vehicles that they can't otherwise see on a regular basis. There are exotics, classics, foreign, domestic, all of which are (usually) unique and well put together examples of their particular make and model. If you are planning on going, do yourself, the owners of the facility, the 'residents' of the facility, the car enthusiasts and other spectators a huge favor...swallow your pride. If you are driving a filthy car, a car with multicolored mismatched panels, unpainted body kit parts, careless rust...please park in spectator parking. If you are driving an otherwise plain jane bolt on Subaru, there are plenty of those, park in spectator parking. I can say with near certainty that 90% of the Subarus I see showing up to Cars and Coffee are your typical Stage 2 car with Rotas. Everyone has seen this. Dozens of times. Resist the urge to caravan down to the venue as a group of 10 Subarus and flood the lot with your cars. There is limited parking in the concourse. By filling it with basic bolt on Subarus, you are taking space away from potential unique cars. If you have something that is unique and special, make sure it is clean, park your car straight, don't blast your stereo, and be courteous of other people in the concourse. Otherwise, swallow your pride, and enjoy the show. It isn't every day you get to see some of the things that show up to this place. You can see stage 2 WRXs and STis pretty much any day of the week in the summer around here. There are numerous Subaru only meets that you can go and view Subarus of every color with uppipes and downpipes and wheels. This is the one place where you can view alot of rare and interesting cars in one sitting. Please, let's keep this event as an event where you can see tons of things you can't normally see, and don't try to turn it into a Subaru heavy ****show.
I was actually thinking about taking our '67 Dodge truck, but I think I'll save it for a little more welcoming environment. It's not a shiner and probably isn't up to the standards of what they want, even tho it says vehicles of all types. So in that case, will actually end up driving the Subie but with the full intention of just going to spectate. I would never put my bone stock deer killer in a show.
A 67 Dodge Truck is probably going to be fine. Is there work done to it? I guess it all depends on the shape it is in.
The BMW 3 series owners. Seriously, if you were in the market for a 3 series Bimmer, you get to see one in every year, color and trim level.
Thinking about joining the fun! Is there a group meeting in the Minneapolis area or just Bobby and Steves off of France?
Typically that is where the group meets. Occasionally there are sub-groups out on the outskirts of town like in Maple Grove. But your best bet would be to roll down to Bobby and Steve's.
never been to this event, i live near bobby and steves..ok if i tag along with you guys? <== Ill be in this
