Here's a video from the May 3rd Twin Cities Cars and Coffee meet…my car has a short appearance in the video starting at 2min 49sec... Check out the HD video
We prefer to drive our cars than look at them? (Autocross on the 3rd) Also, given what i've seen of the drive offs, they've learned exactly zip from the SoCal C&C which was in danger of being shutdown due to hoonage. The vette hanging its ass end out on a public, trafficed road is exactly the kind of **** thats goinbg to have Minnetonka PD crawling over an already heavily patrolled area. I don't want to know what jackassery is going on to the east of that location under what will be the very watchful eyes of MPD after another GT3 is totalled there. edit: not trying to bash the video. It is very well done and there's some very nice cars there.
I guess a few Subie guys showed up the first meet back in April but none were present at the May 3rd meet. Also, this meet was in the AM so many people still made it to AutoX.
What time was it? Because auto-x registration closes at 8:30. I'd love to see a Ferrari or something auto-x, that would be cool. There's a viper that does it and thats a hoot to watch.
The meet starts at 9am and goes till 11am or so... If you watch the vid and look at some pics for AutoX you'll see some of the same cars... I know for sure Ryans Evo X made both.
That was a spectator car. I noticed it parked by the gt3, gt2, etc... also spectator cars... along with a ford gt spectator.
Ok, I was wrong. They kept talking about going to AutoX after the meet and I figured that ment they were in it... <<< :iamwithstupid:
Yep. First Saturday of every month at the Caribou Coffee/Einstein Brothers Bagels parking lot off of Shady Oak Rd and Hwy 62 in Minnetonka. We'll meet from 9am to 11am. Please mark your calendars with the following dates: April 5th May 3rd June 7th July 5th August 2nd September 6th October 4th
you would really get your knickers in a knot in Austrlaia then... every prom the guys whom drive to it in a nicecar out do the previous guy... laying rubber across 3-4 lanes and for about 1/4 mile.. figure 8's donuts.... whatever.. they hold traffic when someone goes...
you wish I went either way.... but I had a bad experience at a circus once, so you scare me with the pants you wear
Well if you showed up Im pretty sure you'd just go were all the cars a located... Also, why did they build 2 Caribou's right next to eachother, haha.
This issue is this. This type of behavior encourages extra police presence, especially at a place like OPUS which already is a target of heavy enforcement. This extra enforcement combined with possible community complaints gets events shut down. I'm all for hoonage, just not at C&C and other events such as these. These are cool events, and I'm glad MSP finally has them. However, it behoves the planners of these events to crack down on this before the police do or lose the event. As I've noted, SoCal's C&C nearly did get kicked out and shut down because of activity like this. This is not to begin to bring in potential liability on the planners and serious smack down on the motoring community should an accident involving another vehicle occur. That road is the furthest thing possible from a closed course.
I agree... never said I didnt.. just saying... I was known for my antics when I was younger... (figure that) but I always did my best to make sure I wasnt around any other cars or too close to people when doing donuts etc....
kinda like these... http://www.metacafe.com/watch/193663/ultimate_aussie_burnouts/ even the cops have fun http://www.metacafe.com/watch/1020213/wa_police_doing_burnout/ I want one of these.... cant find one here though what I want to build..... ok enough.... ha hah yeah most are on a set track... but I cant be bothered finding real street ones....
Yup, I accidently ran across this last weekend just before heading out of town. There were some pretty killer vehicles there.
+1 for the Ford GT (actually, +1 for a bunch of cars there) +1 gajillion for the Caterham 7, my dream car.
