Okay so I got lucky again and won a case of 12 Castrol TWS Motorsport 10w-60 motor oil donated by Sear's Imports at our last BMW/Audi event at BIR this weekend. The oil is sythetic and I was told it's very expensive. Everything on the back is all in German except for the Caution description. So my question is can I use it in my Subaru? SAE 10w-60 API SJ/CF, ACEA A3/B3 BMW Spezialol-Freigabe Exklusiv-Freigabe fur BMW M3, M5 und Z8
I think even a 50 weight oil is pushing it, though I've heard some guys run it in a scoob for extremely hot track days. 60 would probably not be a good idea - it'd almost be like a syrup when it's hot I'd imagine. Scoop it up with a fork?
Hey who has a BMW on this board? I recall at least 2-3 people, maybe they can use it. I just checked the back label again and there's a phone number, it says for a good time call Justin! LOL
The highest weight the manual goes to is 10/20w-50. That's for "very high temps" and towing. See if you can trade it in for some 0w-30 GC. :yumyum:
Yes I'll be there to get some more laps in before winter and than its time to switch to Snow tires. Will you be there bro?
I'm thinking about it. That Saturday I have to go work with the local ROTC guys but Sunday is open. I'll have to ask the wife. I'm assuming northstar still needs corner workers and such? If I do decide I'll give Jorge a buzz.
