i've had this laptop sitting in my closet and want it gone. i bought it from a guy a couple summers ago to do some datalogging and then kinda lost interest. its got the tari racing software loaded on it not sure what version. not sure what the specs on the lap top are either its a toshiba tecra if you're interested shoot me an email [email protected] . it worked fine for the datalogging not sure what else it would be good for. i bought it for 150 bucks with the case and stuff its got an external floppy drive hookup and its got a cd drive in it. windows 98 installed. 100 bucks firm... [email protected] updated 3-6-07 new price $50
Lets try this again. Cleaned your tread for you. Other users not interested keep it in off-topic please. I know we all do it sometimes. Rule: "Try to avoid spamming up people's FS threads. C'mon, that is what off-topic is for."
i'll be in colorado snowboarding tomorrow until sunday so if anyone emails me dont expect a response until then... if no one is interested i guess i'll put it on craigslist i just figured someone here would have wanted it for datalogging or open ecu stuff. if you're interested but don't like the price email me a reasonable offer.
ok i guess the haters were right i wanted too much... anyone want this thing for 50 bucks? i'm guessing theres not many other options for datalogging for that cheap. i might have to just chuck it out of a high window or somthing to atleast watch it explode.
Jake - you should try to find out some of the hardware specs of the machine, especially processor speed and the amount of memory. Does it have a working battery and a power adapter?
http://linux.toshiba-dme.co.jp/linux/eng/spec.php3?model=PA1219U-T2 theres a link to some specs, the thing is pretty ancient so no one is going to want it for regular computing in todays standards but i used it for the tari datalogging software and it worked perfectly fine, the battery does hold a charge i'm not sure exactly how long but i played around with it doing logs and it didnt go dead on me. and yes it comes with the power adapter also. i'm not sure what kind of hardware the open ecu software requires, tom maybe you know the answer to that, but i'm thinking maybe this would work for those of you using that also.
Well after looking at the specs, there is absolutely no way that thing could run Enginuity. However, it looks like it would be fine to use with Ecuexplorer for datalogging. Bump for a good buy!
i don't want to buy it, because i already have a lappy like it and want to know what data logging software you ran on it or what would run on it
the software i used was from tari racing, its free to download on their website. do a search on nasioc or even this forum for "tari racing". i'm not sure about the ecuexplorer software i've never checked into that, maybe pm tom (the guy who posted above you) he's pretty into that stuff
Ecuexplorer is the latest version (even though it's over a year old) of the TARI datalogger. It'll work just fine on that laptop.
