Chimera's PnP'd Heads

This is our basic PNP set-up. Prices will be added later on but we can do a basic pnp of the intake and exhaust ports. We can also do the basic set-up with a valve job. We will also have a much more serious PNP set-up later on as well. The infomation on flow numbers will all be added in a more serious post later on. This on is just for the pictures. i'm going to tell you right now that i really hope that you guys went to school for head porting training in between the time you quit and now because you should absolutely not be thinking you can just start porting heads because you can port manifolds.

thats ok, i really didnt say anything other than i hope they had someone do this that knows what they are doing. i never stated it looked good, or bad. i'd hold judgement about what is poor form until you are in a position like i am.

imo, i've done a great job over the last 4 months putting up with all the bs(and not telling our side of the story to anyone but the people that needed to know aka other employees) that so many people in this club have given me that stemmed from lies of two of our previous disgruntled, infantile, and selfish employees that screwed over their team and their customers. i've taken the highroad this entire time which i can tell you takes a ton of strength after all the complete bs these two people have stated.

So you can go ahead and tell your side of the story in your own new thread. And we screwed over our team? We were the team. Now we are trying to promote a product and you should respect that. They are a great set-up for a bigger turbo. He is going with a 35r so he needs more room to move more air. And they really are not that big.

I say don't take it to PMs, but stop spreading this crap in people's photo threads. If you absolutely must tear each others' throats out, do it in a new thread. This thread is now completely ruined for anyone who wanted to see what CP is up to. I'm not pointing any fingers at anyone, just saying, if you make a new thread, I have no problem moving all the posts that DO NOT BELONG in this one to that one, and you can duke it out there.

If it all has to come out, fine, just don't go saying this stuff in places it doesn't belong.

Alright, Evan, if that's what you want. I am just sad and disappointed that the thread turned out this way.

 

Well it sucks that the thread that we are using to promote our product went to crap so fast but many people seem to need to get some things off there chest.
So let it be as it is. People can see our product here for now. I would like this not to happen in our next thread though.

From looking at and fondling the ports in person (not as bad a Fuji, mind you), they aren't that aggressive, and honestly aren't as big as the ports on the EJ25D heads sitting on my workbench.


As far as velocity goes, it all depends on what your goals are. If you are going to stay with a smaller turbo (20g or less) then massive ports probably aren't in your best interest. With a turbo that spools fast you are probably looking for some torque out of the situation and velocity at lower rpm's will be advantageous. If you have a good sized or larger snail and want top end, you are less concerned with low rpm velocity and more with ultimate flow capability.

In the end, its all a compromise. You have to give a little to get a little.
