Next up is a Cisco 2900 24 port 10/100 Managed Ethernet switch. It has been cleaned up, tested the ports and passes the self test. Does have some scratches and rack mounts. $50 obo picked up. explain... if I hooked this to an internet supply this could feed into many others basically sharing the interent??? I am trying to figure out if I wanna run ethernet lines all through my new house while it is just the frame... the internet line will be on one side of the house and the garage the other... I want a hard line out there so I can get the 100mbs not just 50mbs wireless
Yes this would accomplish that provided your internet supply functions as a router. With this you would be able to have 23 hard wire connections to the internet.
