My clutch is starting to slip. 60,000 miles I don't know how it could be going out already... Anyway, is an aftermarket clutch going to last longer than an OEM clutch? I don't really need one for horsepower handling reasons since I dont plan on ever exceeding 250hp, but if it has added durability I'd maybe be willing to pay the extra money.

Edit: Who wants to show/help me how to put it in :D Assuming compensation would be in order of course.

I don't know about the durability of a performance clutch, but I put a clutch in my friend's 240... I'll never do another one without a lift. [xx(]

I have had a spec brand clutch in my car all summer and have had several trips to BIR for the drag races with no problems. And i feel im well over stock horsepower as well. Also a friend is running one in a rally car and has had no problems. I am running the six puc sprung hub and love it. Drives like stock! and the price is great. I got mine from horsepowerfreaks.com. and if your looking for somebody to put it in for you let me know. The friend that works on that rally car and my car is a very good guy. he is a master suby tech. at bloomington subaru, plus works for a pro scca rally team. He has a lift at his house and does good work cheap!

I did my clutch Early this last Spring with the help from Matt (OB1) and my buddies. This was an exedy stg 1 clutch kit I got from clutchcityonline.com At the time, it was $315 with free shipping, now the price is higher.

I'll help guide as well and help organize the bolts because things won't be so good with missing bolts.

i think so, tell them (whoever) that your clutch is chattering and they should replace it for free or very cheap

Last month i put in a ACT street clutch kit and the street lightweight flywheel. Couldn't be happier. Car is a little more noisy now but other than that, they work great together.
